The Pyramids Of Giza
- In the early morning at the time we agreed, Marca Tours tour guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby in either Cairo or Giza and we will transfer you by an air-conditioned vehicle heading toward the Giza Pyramids area to start your full-day visit to the Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara.
- Once on the Giza plateau, you'll have the opportunity to stand at the base of the magnificent Great Pyramid, built by King Cheops. Next, you'll head to an elevated plateau where you'll see King Chephren's second pyramid. From this elevated viewpoint, you'll have an amazing view of the entire Giza plateau, which includes King Meekerin's pyramid and three accompanying pyramids for the queens.
- Move on to the Great Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Learn about the legends and theories associated with this enigmatic statue. Enjoy the opportunity to take memorable photos with the Sphinx and the pyramids as a backdrop. You will also visit the Valley Temple, a site where the ancient Egyptian kings underwent mummification as part of their elaborate funerary ritual.
Memphis and Ramses II Temple
- After visiting the Giza Pyramids complex, your tour guide can take you to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious Egyptian lunch. This will give you an opportunity to try some traditional Egyptian cuisine. (Meal not included in the tour price).
- After that, you'll head to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Here, you will explore the open-air museum showcasing this once-great city's ruins and artifacts. You'll see statues, temples, and the colossal statue of Ramses II, which is one of the highlights of the site.
The Pyramid of Saqqara
- From Memphis, you'll continue to Sakkara, a vast ancient necropolis that houses the Step Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid is considered to be one of the earliest large-scale stone structures ever built and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will provide insights into the history and architectural significance of this pyramid and the surrounding complex also you will gain access to the Pyramid of Teti and the tombs of the nobles of Saqqara without the need for an additional ticket.
