Luxor is a town in Egypt that has many old and important things to see. The town used to be the capital of the “New Kingdom Pharaohs” and is built around the old place of Thebes. The name Luxor comes from a word in Arabic that means “The City of Palaces.” If you are coming from the UK, you can fly directly to Luxor from many airports with British Airways or Egypt Air. But these flights are not available every day. If you are coming from Cairo, you can take a train, a flight, or a boat on the Nile to get to Luxor. There are many exciting things to see in Luxor, such as famous temples, tombs, and markets. Our tours usually last for two or three days, which is enough time to see the main sites. The important places are divided into two areas: the East Bank and the West Bank of the Nile. On the East Bank, you can visit the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. On the West Bank, you can find the Valley of the Kings & Queens with its rock-hewn tombs, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon, as well as many other sites. There are two markets in Luxor. One is inside a building with air conditioning, and the other is an outdoor market with a traditional feel. You can find many shops selling similar items, and you can bargain for the best price. Once you find a merchant you like, you can sit down, have some tea, and begin the game of bargaining.If you are planning to travel to Egypt, you should definitely visit Luxor.
